History
Katharine Elizabeth McGregor was born on 16 May 1903 in South Brisbane. She was the first female barrister to be admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland. She died on 25 June 1979. In 1980, following a donation from several friends, a postgraduate scholarship and prize were established in her honour at the University of Queensland.
