History

Romeo Watkins Lahey was a distinguished Queensland engineer. He was also a founder of the National Parks Association in Queensland in 1930, and Binna Burra Mountain Lodge in 1933. In 1960 he was awarded an MBE for his work in the establishment of national parks. He died in 1968 in Brisbane.
