History

Brisbane-born Reginald Macdonnell King was a lawyer and National Party politician who was a member of the Coorparoo Shire Council from 1894 to 1898 and Member of the Legislative Assembly for Logan from 1920 to 1935. He held several important roles in the Queensland State Government between 1929 and 1932 when he served as Deputy Premier and held the public works and public instruction portfolios. After his electoral defeat in 1935, he returned to practicing law with George Roydon Howard Gill, with who he had first partnered in 1911. He died in 1955.
