Correspondence, reports and diaries for the University of Queensland Bushwalking Club (UQBWC). There are thirteen Annual reports, including the the first annual report from 1950 which records the formation of the club. There are documents, correspondence, and reports relating to the Mt Barney Hut that the Club constructed as well as field trip notes (mostly from trips at Mt Barney). Two diaries of outings and activies for 1994 and 1995 are present. Three folders contain content relating to clubs which shared members with the UQBWC: the University of Queensland Rockclimbers Club, the Brisbane Bushwalkers Club and the Brisbane Rockclimbing Club. There is a photograph album of activities of the club from the 1950s, comprising 147 black and white photographs, some yellowing with age, and 4 colour photographs. Most photographs have been pasted onto the pages, with captions.

This ephemera collection contains reports, promotional material, submissions, circulars, publicity leaflets, correspondence and information for members of the council

Album of 52 albumen prints, (20 x 15cm) mounted on board. Written on the images in white capital letters are captions, a photographic number and the name of the photographic studio 'Kerry, Photo, Sydney'. Handwritten on the mounting boards are pencil captions, often with less information than the captions on the images and the photographic number supplied by Kerry crossed out and alternative numbering provided. The album itself has been bound and has a handwritten spine title stuck to it "Australian Aboriginal ceremonies". It looks to have been added to the album at a later date, thus not the original title of the album. Photographs are most likely taken between 1875 and 1930.

The images are of Australian Aboriginal people in what appears to be mostly staged poses for Australian Aboriginal ceremonies, corroborees, dance, tracking, fights as well as photographs of various individuals. Some of the photographs have painted backdrops. Some of the people in the photographs were members of "Meston's Wild Australia" (also know as Archibald Meston's "Wild Australia Show"). There are some photographs that were most likely taken in Sydney in December 1892 by Charles Kerry. This is based on the beach setting and the backdrops being identical to those photographs for Archibald Meston's "Wild Australia Show".

Content advice: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are warned that photographs may contain images of Aboriginal and Islander people now deceased. It may also contain historically and culturally sensitive words, terms and descriptions. The descendants' request was that the subjects of the photos be recognised as Wailwan. None of the descendants expressed any desire to censor or withdraw the photos from general viewing. In particular, women should be cautious when viewing the image as it includes some aspects of traditional Men's Business.

This collection is comprised mostly of drafts of Anthony Lawrence’s published and unpublished poetry and prose dating between 1989 and 2021. This collection also includes a series of unpublished playscripts and filmscripts by the author, research materials (mostly relating to Richard Hugo) compiled by the author, book review cuttings (of the author’s 2000 novel In the half light), personal scrapbooks, and awards and commendations presented to the author.

Research notes, manuscripts and correspondence relating to novels Blood red, Sister Rose (1974) and Gossip from the forest (1975). There are four drafts, handwritten and typescript, of Gossip from the forest and at least one draft of Blood red, Sister Rose, mostly handwritten. Also includes one leaf, handwritten, of a draft of Passenger (1979).

Bound photocopy of a personal diary kept by Police Sergent John Ahern. It concerns police routine in Queensland; many references to people and properties in country districts and to Shearers' Strike activities.
