The newsletter informs of what the Unit is doing, what women in other regions and communities across Queensland are doing, and also provides information on government services and women's organisations. The front page features an article introducing the Women's Policy Unit. The back page has articles on the National Committee on Violence Against Women and economic development of rural communities. Inner pages contain articles on the Women's Policy Unit's strategies for promoting women artists; a meeting of over 400 women in Laura, North Queensland, to discuss issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples; an overview of the Women's Budget Statement; and a recap of the "Balancing the Gains - Women, Efficiency and Restructuring" conference held in October of the same year at Mayfair Crest, Brisbane.
