Business and administrative records of The Women's Bookshop, Highgate Hill, Brisbane from its inception in 1984 to its sale in 1998. Includes financial records, promotional material, correspondence, publisher's catalogues, flyers, photographs, posters and ephemera. The poster collection is comprised of 341 posters (which includes 48 screen printed or hand coloured posters plus two copies of a 1993 calendar) which exhibit graphic design history and local / social history from 1984 to 1998.

Notice of a public forum to be held at the OPAL Centre on Anne Street in Brisbane on the evening of Friday 27 October. The purpose of the forum is to suggest solutions to problems faced by Aboriginal Australians. The panelists include Denis Walker, J. Herlihy from the Legal Aid Committee, Sam Watson (Junior), Darcy Cummins and a representative from the Office of Aboriginal Affairs, Canberra. Chaired by Reverend J.R. Sweet. For more information attendees are encouraged to contact Sam Watson (Senior), Liaison Officer for the Brisbane Branch of OPAL.

Photographs show the Duke of Gloucester conducting official duties during his visit to Queensland in 1934. Places featured include: Wallangarra, Stanthorpe, Warwick, Clifton, Toowoomba, Gatton (including Agricultural College), Laidley, Rosewood, Ipswich, central Brisbane, Cleveland, Wynnum, R.N.A. Exhibition Grounds, University of Queensland, Bowen Park (Brisbane), Rosemount Repatriation Hospital, Archerfield Aerodrome, Dalgety's Wharf, and H.M.A.S. Australia on the Brisbane River. Photographs of Archerfield Aerodrome show the Duke dispatching the first airmail of the Australia-Great Britain Service.
Photographs are (10 x 14.5 cm and larger) mounted on boards with handwritten captions. Album bound in red leather. Cover title.
