Circulars, notices, membership forms, handwritten notes, programmes, and related material. Circulars and programmes from 1951-1963 are dated; others have day and month listed only. Activities detailed in these papers include day hikes, camping, slide nights or sessions, rock-climbing, suppers and training sessions on bushwalking and hiking techniques, regular meetings. Rucksacks were purchased by the club and could be hired by members. Regular bushwalking routes and sites included Mount Barney, Stradbroke Island, the Glasshouse Mountains, Enoggera Reservoir in Ferny Grove, Cunningham's Gap, Binna Burra, and Mount Lindsay. Some personal information about the members was shared, such as when members left or returned, or were married. The care and maintenance of Dryden's Hut on Mount Barney also regularly featured.

Correspondence, reports and diaries for the University of Queensland Bushwalking Club (UQBWC). There are thirteen Annual reports, including the the first annual report from 1950 which records the formation of the club. There are documents, correspondence, and reports relating to the Mt Barney Hut that the Club constructed as well as field trip notes (mostly from trips at Mt Barney). Two diaries of outings and activies for 1994 and 1995 are present. Three folders contain content relating to clubs which shared members with the UQBWC: the University of Queensland Rockclimbers Club, the Brisbane Bushwalkers Club and the Brisbane Rockclimbing Club. There is a photograph album of activities of the club from the 1950s, comprising 147 black and white photographs, some yellowing with age, and 4 colour photographs. Most photographs have been pasted onto the pages, with captions.

Pamphlet titled ‘Who was what? And when?’ Printed in 1998. Lists the foundation members, honorary life members, committee members and committee positions for the first fifty years of the BBWC (1948-1998).
Five documents relating to the BBWC’s 50th anniversary celebrations in 1998. Typed and handwritten.
Four newspapers cuttings relating to Herbert Miller and Bert Salmon from 1954 to 1980.
Handwritten account of the Nimbin Rocks fatality in Sep 1956. Signed by Michael John Woodrow, Sep 1956. Includes two photograph negatives on one piece of film. One of the negatives is severely decayed.
Typed seven-page document titled ‘Carborundum – Mt Tibrogargan. A Reminiscence of the first ascent, 5th August 1956, some 50 years on’. Undated, but approximately 2006.
