Includes letters written by Harold Swain to Jules Tardent, and Jules and Myrle Tardent; typescript copies, made by Nancy Foote (daughter of Swain), of newspaper articles, correspondence, articles, and diary entries, by or relating to Swain are in this collection. Nancy Foote typed these from the originals in 1970 to 1971 and provided copies to 'Mr Tardent' (Jules Tardent). Jules Tardent and Swain worked in the forestry industry.

Includes correspondence between Cecil Hadgraft and Zelman Cowen re the documents, reviews of French poetry by Christopher Brennan, and a copy of an unpublished poem by Christopher Brennan.
