This collection consists of the diaries of William Albert Amiet from 1903 to 1959, scrapbooks of collected newspaper articles by Amiet, incoming correspondence and other works.

Tinder [novel] (2002)

This series contains drafts, notes, newspaper cuttings, research material and correspondence. Tinder [novel], published by Scribner in 2002, had several working titles: 'The fire lovers', 'Fire in the hand', and 'Zippo : a cautionary tale'. Set in Katoomba and narrated by the central character, Graham, it follows his sexual awakening.

Scrapbooks

Seven bound volumes containing copies of essays published in the Mackay Daily Mercury. Topics cover many fields but the predominant interests are literature and astronomy. One volume contains an index to the essays.

This collection has correspondence and press cuttings relating to John Bestons' research on Patrick White. Includes letters from many Australian authors, such as Patrick White, Thea Astley, Gwen Harwood, Xavier Herbert, Thomas Keneally, David Malouf, David Williamson and Judith Wright. It contains newspaper cuttings relating to Shirley Hazzard; manuscripts (handwritten and typescript) by John Beston, including the manuscript for 'Patrick White : The search for a life value'. There are seven publications by or relating to Patrick White that have been annotated by John Beston while undertaking his research.

Graeme Thiedeke Papers

The collection has 474 architectural drawings by Graeme Thiedeke from his time working as a student in the 1960s, to his work in Canada, Mexico, Malayasia, United Arab Emirates and Australia. Thiedeke has provided details for most of these plans which includes the name of the client, the brief from the client and historical information about the building. There are supplementary documents to the jobs Graeme Thiedeke worked on, which includes drawings, articles, presentation sets, architectural plans, photographs of architectural plans and photographs. Thiedeke has been writing while working as an architect and there sample of books created by him. The topics are far ranging and include philosophy, poetry, short stories, and various architectural projects.
