Taking to the Streets Exhibition ephemera

Ephemera from the Taking to the Streets : two decades that changed Brisbane 1965 - 1985 Exhibition by the Museum of Brisbane from 7 April to 10 September 2006. The exhibition was developed with the support of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, the Fryer Library, Dr Raymond Evans and numerous individuals. This file includes an invitation, a flyer and a broadsheet.

Invitation to the opening of the Taking to the Streets Exhibition

One double-sided invitation to the opening of the exhibiton at 6.30 pm on Thursday 6 April 2006. The Exhibition was opened by Quentin Dempster. Special guests included Gerry Connolly, Madonna King, Lilla Watson, DJ Jane Grigg, Pineapples from the Dawn of Time, and Fats Parameter. The logos for the 612 ABC Brisbane and the University of Queensland Library are on the invitation.

'In the crowd' broadsheet

'In the crowd' broadsheet featuring stories from, or about, people who took part in the events during that time such as Sam Watson, Cyntia McBride, Jim Beatson, Michael Geoffrey Parr, Rosemarie Severin, Judith Wright, Geoff Watson, Michael Finucan, Germaine Greer, Petra Williams and Michael O'Neil (who writes about the Forum at the University of Queensland, St. Lucia). The logos for the 612 ABC Brisbane and the University of Queensland Library are on the flyer.
