Collection contains material documenting Rosanne Fitzgibbons' career as an editor and includes correspondence, reports, drafts, notes, teaching notes, and research material relating to editing and publishing. Fitzgibbon won the inaugural Beatrice Davis Editorial Fellowship Award in 1992 enabling her to spend two months working in Norton Publishing in New York. As well as freelancing editing before, during and after her years spent working at University of Queensland Press, Fitzgibbon also lectured , presented and ran editing workshops around Australia. She was a founding member of the Society of Editors (Queensland). The Institute of Professional Editors initiated in 2017 the biennial award 'The Rosie' ( (the Rosanne Fitzgibbon Award for Editorial Excellence) in her honor.

The Lingerie catalogue

This is a photocopied manuscript of 'The lingerie catalouge' by Brian Castro and Peter Lyssiotis, which appears to be an unpublished artists book. 'The lingerie catalogue’ was to be part of the 2001 Melbourne Fashion Festival. It was a collaborative work between Brian Castro and Peter Lyssiotis and Masterthief Enterprises.

Lectures, seminars, workshops on editing

Throughout her career Rosanne Fitzgibbon attended and presented lectures, seminars and workshops on editing and publishing. She presented for the Queensland Writers' Centre, Australian Book Publishers Association, various Writers Festivals, Institute of Professional Editors, Literature Board of the Australian Council and guest presentations for courses at University of Queensland.

Correspondence with authors and publishing houses regarding editing manuscripts. Contains copies (some partial) of manuscripts (some with annotations) for Gerald Windsor ('All day long the noise of battle'), Hugh Mackay ('What makes us tick?'), Marion Halligan ('Shooting the fox' and 'Murder on the apricot coast'), Brisbane City Council (Brisbane : 150 stories, 1858-2009), and Brian Castro ('Shanghai dancing').
