Typescript drafts of The Copper Crucible (1963 draft, and 1994 drafts revised by Ian Syson); newspaper cuttings and copies of Women's Realm containing articles and stories by Betty Collins; 2 poems (typescript) by Betty Collins. The Copper Crucible was originally published in 1966. Not all of the 1963 draft for the novel was used in this publication. In 1996, a new edition revised by Ian Syson was published. This new edition restores the 1963 draft, and also incorporates some passages from the 1966 version.

Included is a photocopy of an article by Ernestine Hill entitled They of the Never Never. The photographs cover the years 1907-1946 and show the Giles family and staff, the engraved Banyan tree, Duke and Duchess of Gloucester's visit in 1946, and Aboriginal families living on the station. Also included is a Giles family tree and family correspondence.
