Handwritten letter from James O'Neil Mayne to 'My dear Mr Mayor', William Alfred Jolly, thanking him for a photograph of St Lucia and discussing his aspirations for the University site. Double sided letter on 1 sheet, 16 cm, on 'Moorlands. Toowong' letterhead. Signed by James Mayne. Dated 22 Nov 1927. Accompanied by press cuttings about the donation of the letter to the Fryer Library by Redland Museum.

Two sets of stamps are in commerorative folder and forms part of the Australian Legends series. Includes inscription by Graeme John, Managing Director of Australia Post. Also included is a packet of photographs of students and buildings, probably Chemical Engineering ca. 1929-33.

2 photographs and 1 certificate. One photograph is a coloured studio portrait of Professor James Duhig, signed by Dorothy Coleman. One is a black and white photograph of the front entrance to Hunstanton, Professor Duhig's old house at 88 L'Estrange Terrace, Kelvin Grove, which is now owned by the Australian Medical Association and called AMA House. The certificate, dated 12 Nov 1940, declares James Vincent Duhig a Foundation Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
