Edith Lahey, a friend of Daphne Mayo's, was the step-aunt to Vida Lahey and frequently corresponded with Daphne Mayo. Most of her letters are addressed from 'Erica', 349 Cavendish Road, Coorparoo. Of the 97 letters, 28 are dated 23 June 1943 to 22 July 1957. The final letter was written by 'Colin, the scribe' on Edith's behalf.
