Papers relating to Jennifer Poulter's poetry and prose, mostly children's literature, including her personal papers, notes, illustrations; also includes correspondence with Les Murray, and correspondence and collaborations with other children's writers, illustrators and educators.
File 1: Drafts, manuscripts and publications: published and unpublished poetry and prose typescripts mostly written for children under the name J.R. Poulter; includes three copies of a typescript manuscript titled 'Write to celebrate', intended to be a book of writing advice, which contains an appendix of printout articles by Poulter and other authors (Tami Traylor, Pat Schmatz, Rollin Thomas, Maeve Binchy, Danielle Hamilton, Carmel Bird), published in WQ Magazine, the Society of Children's Book Writer's and Illustrators (SCBWI) Bulletin and Notebook Magazine, as well as printout illustrations by Terry Walsh, Ronald Chironna, Kathleen Cameron and Christian Bocquee used as writing prompts; includes one copy of a typescript manuscript of a children's short story called 'O'Mullins' with accompanying black and white printout illustrations by Jason Ferguson; includes what appears to be the proof copy, in full colour, of publication Moi, Elle and la Le: poodle triplets go glam!; includes two typescript manuscripts, both collections of children's poetry bound by plastic spiral binders, titled 'Your mother's worst nightmare and other dysfunctional realities' and 'Art-i-farts!', with accompanying black and white printout illustrations by Mattias Adolfsson.
File 2: Correspondence with Les Murray: postcards and letters, handwritten and typed, between Poulter and Les Murray from 2002 to 2013, in which Murray offers edits and advice for Poulter's drafted poems 'Death at sea'; 'More street people'; 'Changelings'; 'Limb, bough, branch, twig'; 'Night limbs'; and 'Late beach stroll'.
File 3: General correspondence: photocopied, typed and handwritten letters and cards sent to Poulter between 1995 and 2019; letters are from Lyn Hurry, Meredith Stephens and Pam McGann; also includes copies of illustrated cards and a handwritten note from illustrator Maria Bogade.
File 4: Personal papers: Poulter's literary and professional curriculum vitae, a photocopy of an article by Poulter published in Campus Review, Readers' Favorite Illustration Award 2018 certificate and a programme for the Lockyer Arts Festival 2012 for which Poulter was a guest.
Item 1: Notebook: pen and pencil notes and illustrations (some watercolour and coloured pencil), mostly related to publication Mending Lucille; some children's drawings throughout.
Item 2: 'Blood and other essentials' manuscript: typescript titled 'Blood and other essentials man and woman - poetry and teacher notes for classroom, voice and performance', written under the name J.R. McRae; 253 pages held together by a plastic spiral binder; a collection of poetry accompanied by black and white digital illustrations, as well as instructions and notes for teachers.
Poulter, J. R.
Consists of correspondence between Father Edward Leo Hayes, his sister Mary and his niece Jean as well as philatelic ephemera, unpublished poetry and artwork. The collection also contains academic robes worn by Father Hayes when he received an honorary Masters of Arts degree from the University of Queensland and a whiskey bottle from by General Douglas McArthur.

Queensland Country Towns Student Projects

Between 1978 and 1987 third year students in Architectural Design, working under the supervision of Michael Keniger and Brit Andresen, travelled to country towns across Queensland to observe and document the fabric of place. Students were instructed to follow a consistent methodology and particular emphasis was placed on documenting in detail the main street of each country town. Over 10 years, the built fabric of a significant number of country towns was documented and collected to form the Country Towns archive. This resource provides insight into the fabric and life of country towns in Queensland before periods of change, the result of booms in tourism in the 80s and mining in the 90s and the ongoing drought induced contraction in farming. Many changes in country towns occurred before the introduction of Heritage Legislation in Queensland and the creation of the Department of Environment and Heritage in the 1980s established a level of scrutiny.

This collection is comprised mostly of papers relating to Dorothy Blewett including: drafts of playscripts, novels, short stories, and articles for published and published works; a small amount of incoming and outgoing correspondence; photographs; personal documents; documents relating to her professional activities; and theatre programs and travel ephemera relating to her time spent in the 1950s in England and Europe. There are also some papers relating to the activities of her sisters, Elizabeth Melville Blewett (born Elsie Melville Blewett, also referred to as 'Bill') and Rowena Sarah May Blewett.

This collection is comprised three series. There is material associated with or acquired during the finalising of the estate of Gertrude Langer, which John Riedel assisted with. It includes a 1939 diary from Gertrude Langer, correspondence relating to the Langer's, eulogies and notes about Gertrude Langer, a copy of her will, newspaper cuttings, and photographs.
The second series contains papers and correspondence associated with John Riedel and the Langer Memorial Committee.
The final series is comprised of three photographs of Kathleen Campbell Brown, and some newspaper cuttings relating to her.
