The booklet covers the history, aims and objectives, and key people of OPAL. Includes articles on OPAL's first president Jim Hamilton; Uncle Willie MacKenzie (Geerbaugh), for whom the OPAL Centre (Geerbaugh) on Anne Street was named; the Miss OPAL Quest pageant; and Yelangi Pre-School. Booklet contains an insert of a blank OPAL membership application form; the form indicates it cost $1 to join OPAL and an applicant had to be nominated by two current OPAL members.

Prepared by a member of the Council for Aboriginal Rights (Victoria) on 16 August 1963, it reports that the Queensland Government is holding close on one million pounds of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders wages. Signed by Pauline Pickford, secretary for the Council.

Features eleven photographs, black and white, of various unidentified children and adolescents, as well as a black and white photograph of a group of Indigenous Australian children with two Indigenous Australian women credited to the John Oxley Library. Also features an artwork by Ted Watson that shows concentric bands of brown and red lined with dots and intersected by yellow flowing lines containing blue and purple human figures, accompanied by the artist's description of the meaning of the art.

Album of twelve sepia photographs of views of North Queensland including Cairns, Herberton, Barron George, Barron Falls, Hambledon and railways in the area. Title handwritten inside album. Album is undated. A handwritten list of captions and supplied item numbers has been inserted prior to the title page. Most photographs appear to be around the construction of the railway to Herberton which began in Cairns in 1886. It finished in Ravenshoe in 1916.

Written on the inside cover the album, presumably by the seller: "In. [Inventory] 5033. Royal Qto. Oblong Purple toned. 10 [shillings]". These type of photographs were often taken by the Queensland Government.
