Early history of Queensland Arts Council

Original title on folder was "Early history of Qld. Arts Council (before my own involvement)". The file includes correspondence (incoming and outgoing), reports and notes of the Arts Council of Australia (Queensland Division ) prior to Gertrude Langer taking over the Presidency in early 1961 (at the suggestion of Dorothy Helmrich). The Queensland division reconstituted in late 1956/early 1957 with a Brisbane Branch and two country branches in Warwick and Gatton.

Eleven folders of correspondence to the Arts Council of Australia (Queensland Division) and to its president Gertrude Langer. The last folder had the original title "Expressions of appreciation for my stepping down as President of the Arts Council", in 1975.
