Plunkett was asked to investigate the activities of Mundroola Pty. Ltd., the Barwick family company, of which Sir Garfield Barwick was a director, for possible conflicts of interest. Gareth Evans started action to impeach Barwick.

Thirty-two black and white photographs, on a CD-ROM, of a demonstration on 10 May 1985 against the awarding of an honorary doctorate of Laws to Queensland Premier Johannes Bjelke-Petersen. Up to 5000 UQ students, UQ staff, trade unionists and other outraged citizens attended the protest outside Mayne Hall, St Lucia, where the award ceremony was to take place. Although the ceremony proceeded, the Premier did not attend.
