Drawings are for stage one; stage two is marked as a future extension. They comprise: site plan; lower ground floor; diagrammatic layout, underfloor service ducts; ground floor; Senate house, ground floor; first floor; second floor; third floor; fourth floor; fifth floor; south elevation; east elevation; north elevation; cross section; typical detail of double hung windows; preliminary sketches showing proposed method of precasting; and sun control, data and analysis. The plans for the different floor levels describe some of the future occupant positions for selected rooms.

This volume of plans appears to be the original copy. The main difference between this Item and Item 2 is there are additional 'Bending list' numbers on some of the plans in Item 2. One volume of plans titled J.D. Story Administration Building, University of Queensland : Stage 2. Held together with three metal paper binders with washers. On front cover and in title block on all drawings, creators are: University Architect, J. P. Birrell and Consulting Structural Engineer, Antony Tod.

Drawings numbered 1 to 17 have the Ref. no. 1822 and are dated Sep 1965. The title block has building as J.D. Story Administration Building (Stage '2'). Drawings comprise: 1.
