Typescript drafts for speeches and related correspondence for Oscar and Lucinda. Speech begins 'Professor Wong was in Australia recently', September 1987. Also includes a speech for the Australian Bicentennial.

Notes, story outlines and fragments, some of which have titles. Includes typescripts with the titles: 'The Botticelli stories'; 'The ice room'; 'K.L. Story'; 'Story: body sellers'; and 'Notes on life in the whorehouse'. Typescript where first line begins: 'Claire Schnier lay in a bed in ward 5...'; 'She had a face like someone who has come out of a sad movie....'; 'He tried to write stories about the people he knew...'; '1. The ride from the airport...'; 'I saw you today and now I'm home by myself...'; 'To truly appreciate paradise,...'. Several pages of Bliss. Also includes loose fragments.

Drafts, complete and incomplete, of the autobiographical story that was published in book Four easy pieces (Belmont Press, London, 2002). Not all drafts have numbers and/or dates. Draft numbers are 4 to 7. Working title was 'On going home' and was on the original folder (discarded). Some drafts have printout dates in footer, 19 Apr to 21 Apr 1994.

Printout title from footer 'Revised Draft #1', printout date 22 May 1995, 16 leaves, plus one page of handwritten notes; Printout title from footer 'Author's corrected draft', 25 May 1995, 16 leaves, with handwritten emendations; Printout title from footer 'Corrected draft #2', 2 Jul 1995, 14 leaves. This is a memoir about his first wife's abortion and miscarriages.
