This file consists of three items:

1. A Collins Australian Diary for 1959 with 11 pages of newspaper cuttings regarding Kath Walker's activities in promoting Aboriginal rights (rest of diary is empty) from 1961 - 1972.
2. A photograph album (half full) of newspaper cuttings regarding Kath Walker's activities in promoting Aboriginal rights, with one article about her son Vivian Walker (1971). Articles are either dated 1966 or 1971
3. One photograph album with six pages of newspaper cuttings regarding Oodgeroo's activities in promoting Aboriginal rights, 1961 - 1967

One folder has newspaper cuttings from 1978 to 1979 with the original folder marked "Uranium". Also included in this folder is undated newspaper cuttings. The second folder contains cuttings from 1976 to 1981 featuring articles about statements made by Kath Walker regarding the Aboriginal cause.

Album 4 - Mainly black and white photographs of Kath Walker as a young woman, her family and friends. [194-?] - [195-?]. Some captions have been added by family members at a later date.

Album 3 - Photographs 15.2 to 15.68 are a sequence taken at Moongalba Camp and other locations on North Stradbroke Island, circa Aug-Sep 1973. Captions for most of these photographs were added at a later date by family members. All are from 1973 unless otherwise indicated. Photographs 15.69 to 15.131 are mainly photographs of friends and relatives of Kath Walker, including many children.

Documents that were originally in a folder labelled "Moongalba": lease agreement between Kathleen Jean Mary Walker and Shire of Redland Council, 1972 with architectural sketches; and "Moongalba : a film proposal" by Helen Boyd. Ist draft. (typescript).

This file includes correspondence (over two folders) regarding the establishment and running of Moongalba from: the Queensland Land Administration Commission; Parliament of Australia. The Senate; Queensland Department of Education; Redland Shire Council; Aboriginal Arts Board; various schools, some arranging visits to Moongalba; and supporters. There is also a folder of notes and correspondence titled 'Historical documents'. There is also correspondence, in the second folder on grants for tourism, incorporation of Moongalba, and letters from various Government Departments.

Research material on other cultural centers; studies; and plans and timetables for students, work by children, and papers relating to the setting up of Moongalba.
