George Randall Papers

Scrapbooks relating to Randall's work as Emigration Agent for Queensland in England. The scrapbooks contain personal correspondence from Colonial Secretary Arthur Palmer, copies of his official reports to the Agent General's Office in London, printed ephemera, including flyers distributed by Randall in England promoting his lectures on Queensland. One scrapbook contains a small group of printed ephemera from the 1901 Glasgow International Exhibition. One scrapbook contains original pencil drawings by Randall's elder son, the artist Richard John Randall. This includes a portrait of George Randall.

Mary Montgomerie Bennett Papers

The collection comprises two bound scrapbooks of records collected by Mary Montgomerie Bennett when compiling the history of her father, Sir Robert Christison; correspondence; and glass plate negatives. The bound volumes include: newspaper cuttings, extracts of newspaper cuttings, pamphlets, photographs, reprints of articles, and typescripts written by or relating to Sir Robert Christison and the Dalleburra people who lived on the same land. Most of the material covers the period 1870 to 1910. The correspondence is that received by Mrs Bennet regarding her book Christison of Lammermoor. There are notes compiled by Mrs Bennett that accompany the 21 glass plate negatives created by Mary Christison, Mary Bennett mother. The slides are of Lammermoor Homestead and a portrait of Robert Christison, most taken by Mary Christison between the years 1896 to 1910; and of individuals in the Dalleburra Tribe, Mitchell District in North Queensland, 1870 to 1900, taken by Mary Christison.

The papers relating to the Briggs family consist mainly of correspondence, which belonged to Charles Henry Briggs and one of his sons Charles James Briggs, and a number of miscellaneous documents such as a tombstone inscription of the Briggs and Rowley families and papers relating to the Australian Natives Association.
The newspaper clippings in a bound volume are from the Brisbane Courier, the Telegraph and the Chronicle from December 1894 to April 1895 regarding the case against Rev Charles Ogg brought by the Presbytery of the Ann St Church.
There is also a illuminated parchment testimonial, which was given to Miss Margaret Ann Ogg, daughter of Rev C. Ogg, on her retirement.
Most of the studio portrait photographs are from an album of the Briggs family, some with identification.
Others are photographs of Ernest Briggs and the staff of the station 4BK in the 1930s, and there is also one of Miss Margaret Ann Ogg at her house in Windsor.
The collection was collected and presented by W.B. Ross (1857 to 1930).
