Account book and diary from O.P.W. Jensen's sugar cane farm near Mackay.
Includes newspaper cuttings pasted in giving scales of prices, and other industry news. First part records planting and harvesting including tonnages cut and carted by different workers, sundry farm expenses, income from cane. Second part records income from other sources - blacksmithing, sale of eggs, corn, sweet potatoes, etc.
Pages are much written over with sundry notes and reckonings, especially inside covers.
Accompanied by folder of photographs recording farm views, activities (ploughing, clearing).
Farm appears to be located about 10-15 km N-W of Mackay, near the Farleigh-Habana Road and Reliance Creek. The farm was also in sight of Mt Blackwood (Black Mt. on photos). Persons in photos appear to be Mr O.P.W. Jensen and his son Norman, and Mrs Jensen.
There are also two photos of the Whitney farm at Habana, possibly a neighbour.
Photos record district areas of interest including Eimeo beach, north of Mackay.
