Location: Cnr Cotlew and Currumburra Roads, Ashmore, Gold Coast. Architects from Title Block: Davis Heather Group. Client: Alfred's Close Pty Ltd. Brief: Design documentation and construction of the first approval under new laws for 'taverns' rather than pubs. This design was inspired by a 19th century sawmill that once occupied the site. Dated 1984

Brief: Design and documentation of a three storey, beachfront complex of two x three bed apartments plus roof garden and basement. This was to be on the last undeveloped beach house site on Main Beach Parade. It was not built. Project number 814.83. Working drawings numbered: WD.01 to WD.08; WD.13 to WD.14; and WD27 to WD.28. Dated 10 Mar 1989 to 28 Aug 1989.

Three drawings (ink line drawings on tracing paper) of perspectives with no title block information. Project no. 320.96 New Offices. Eight working drawings (ink line drawings on tracing paper). From the Title Block: The Heather Thiedeke Group, architects and planners. Client: Herron Todd White, Carrara Street, Benowa. Brief: Two storey commercial offices; 'Formal' Australian character. Design, documentation and construction, incorporating sustainability principles. These included natural light and ventilation to every space due to a central garden courtyard. The character request was achieved with a GI roof, large overhangs, Helidon sandstone elements and an 'arbour' style porte cochere.

From the Title Block: The Heather Thiedeke Group, architects and planners. Clients: Michael Edgely; Terry Page; Fultonborough Pty Ltd. . Brief: A beach house capable of entertaining visiting international cultural groups, especially the Moscow Circus and Russian Ballet. The inspiration for the design was primarily the sand castle. A sculptured form reflecting the contours of the beach landscape. The brief required the maximum utilisation of available site area, hence the 'box' configuration. It had a variety of owners and international celebrity guests in its 27-year lifespan. It was demolished in the last 2010s. Various Project numbers: 811-161, 811-224, 811-225. Tanglewood Gold resort, Bogangar, New South Wales

Client: Private developer. Brief: Design documentation and construction of -- Golf course and clubhouse, village centre, hotel, tennis club, children's resort, equine centre, detached unit clusters and a wedding chapel. The site was 60 ha. of rolling hills, forest and flood plain. For economic reasons the project stalled and the site was sold. Comprises one roll of 38 drawings from 1989 and another roll of 21 drawings from 1990.

Brief: Design a 'Disney' experience for the whole family with an underlying story to be discovered as part of the experience. Funding was not available (including Architects fees). Not built.

Client: Gold course developer. Brief: Concept designs for luxury two bed, two car, two storey duplex villas for a golfing resort; the architecture was to have a 'post modern, Australian classic' character. The Champion's retreat design was based on a cluster of six villas with entries focused on a vehicular courtyard and an arbour over the front entry. No title block.

Two ink line and coloured pen drawings on paper dated, 10 Aug 1992; and 4 ink line drawings on tracing paper. No Title Block. Client: Residence for Mr. F. Remmele, Lot 8 Little Nerang Road Mudgeeraba, a South Australian 'Black Friday' bushfire survivor. Brief: Design for a single person. To be constructed as fireproof as possible. Thiedeke's research indicated an all Hebel structure would suit the client's brief. Hebel is precast aerated concrete produced in panels and blocks.

Hebel prefabricated house

Brief: Design examples for use of a modified commercial produce. In 1992 Thiedeke carried out research to find a single structural material providing fire proofing, temperature stability, acoustic superiority and ease of use. Lightweight aerated concrete panels (Hebel) achieved these. This file comprises drawings for four concepts using Hebel in construction. Some have post-it notes sticky taped to them.

Client: Retired academic. Brief: A residence to replace an old country farmhouse; the house was designed as a prefabricated unit to be delivered direct from the factory and assembled in a few weeks. Unbuilt.
