Student Drawings.

The majority of this series comprises drawings and essays produced by Douglas McKay for assessment purposes during his architecture degree at The University of Queensland. While some of McKay's student drawings are conventional architectural plans, others are mixed media works which feature photographs and/or newspaper cuttings. The series also contains drawings created by McKay for commercial firms while he was a student, and drawings created for a competition.

McKay, Douglas B.

Literary manuscripts by David Malouf

Contains corrected manuscript and typescript drafts of Bicycle and Other Poems, Johnno, An Imaginary Life, Child's Play, Eustace, The Prowler, Fly Away Peter, Harland's Half Acre, Antipodes : Stories, 12 Edmonstone Street, The Great World, Remembering Babylon, The Conversations at Curlow Creek, Every Move You Make, and Ransom. Most of the typescript drafts have handwritten emendations, white-out corrections, and cut and past inserts (attached with sticky tape). These drafts give a good insight into how Malouf wrote and amended his works.
