Handwritten letters, most are addressed to 'My dear Collie'. Letters include: to 'My dear Collie' from 'your affectionate Mother, Margaret M. Bell'; letters, incoming and outgoing between Lady Bell and Daly & Schacht Solicitors; letter to Lady Bell from C. V. Hellicar (Solicitor); letters to 'My dear Mama' signed your affect. son Joshua T. Bell' (on letterhead for The Parliament of Queensland Library); letter to 'My dear Mama' from 'your affect. son Oswald M Bell' (on letterhead of Daly & Schacht Solicitors). Most of these letters relate to the financial matters.

Original folder titled 'French translations of Colloquium papers' and contains 10 poems: ‘Le Crime du Pere Jacquot Le Noir’ (incomple), ‘Le Racisme’, ‘Le Bunyip’, ‘Banal’, ‘Yussef (Hi-jacker)’, ‘La Civilisation’, ‘Mon Enfant’, ‘Mont Bluff’, ‘Les Droits De L'Aborigine’, and ‘Premiere Partie La Nature du Reve’ (incomplete).

This file contains eleven pages of handwritten notes on Australian literature, possibly from a lecture of A D Hope.

Typescript draft of part I of The Great World, on green paper, handwritten emendations, white-out corrections, and cut and paste inserts (attached with sticky tape). This draft is missing most of the first page of the novel. It has the title page of the novel and a chapter title page 'Keen's Crossing' (which was not used in the published novel). The folder has been retained. It has page and word counts for each section, and calculations for typing these pages.

Eight leaves of handwritten notes, and 54 leaves of typescript, with handwritten emendations for the opera Voss.
