This building was sold by the ANZ Bank in 1981 and was later demolished. Berkman used the stones from the building for the Garms house in Tennyson.

Original title on folder was "Early history of Qld. Arts Council (before my own involvement)". The file includes correspondence (incoming and outgoing), reports and notes of the Arts Council of Australia (Queensland Division ) prior to Gertrude Langer taking over the Presidency in early 1961 (at the suggestion of Dorothy Helmrich). The Queensland division reconstituted in late 1956/early 1957 with a Brisbane Branch and two country branches in Warwick and Gatton.
