Daphne : a/cs from Dec 1 1940 written on cover of Queensland exercise book. First page has name and address list including Daphne Mayo's address at 231 George St, Sydney. Exercise book used as a ledger to record transactions for the rental property consisting of 3 flats, a cottage, and tennis court, associated expenses, money banked, names of the tennants, weekly rent. Some of these records can be attributed to her parents, mostly likely her father, Bill Mayo. Transactions are from 2 Dec 1940 to 21 Apr 1941.

Daphne : Nov 1937 to Nov 1940 written on cover of All Schools exercise book. First page has name and address list including Daphne Mayo's address in Sydney and Fulham Road in London. Exercise book used as a ledger to record transactions for the rental property consisting of 3 flats, a cottage, studio and tennis court, associated expenses, money banked, names of the tennants, weekly rent. Some of these records can be attributed to her parents, mostly likely her father, Bill Mayo, as Daphne was in Europe in the late 1930s. From 14 August 1938 the cottage is rented to 'Mayo'. The Studio to rented to Vida from September 1938.

Daphne Mayo Sydney Studio, volume 1

Daphne Mayo's Sydney Studio at 231 George Street was reclaimed by the Sydney Cove Development Authority in 1981. Queensland Trustees Limited, who had power of attorney for Mayo, engaged Judith McKay to direct the sorting and dispersal of the Sydney Studio from 29 June to 8 July 1981. Mayo had been a tenant of the building since 1940 and retained this studio after her move back to Brisbane. She was the last tenant to leave the building. This album is volume one of a two volume set of photograph albums complied by Judith McKay detailing the contents of the studio and the packing of contents.
