Almost all are dated July 1967 (one is August 1967 and one is undated), with a running sequential drawing number from 1 to 42. Architect is James Birrell and Partners. Correspondence (incoming and outgoing) related to the Master Plan for Townsville University (known as James Cook University) and for the First Hall of Residence, University College of Townsville, University of Queensland. These designs began when James Birrell was University Architect for the University of Queensland and continued when he went into private practice as James Birrell and Partners. The bulk of the correspondence is from the firm James Birrell and Partners. There are eight folders in this file spanning years 1962 to 1968.

The construction of Stage 3 commenced in July 1967 and was completed July 1968. There are 13 drawings with the Job no. B22; all are ink line drawings on tracing paper; almost all are dated July 1967.
