Letter from F. Bandler, New South Wales secretary for the FCAA, 4 August 1967

Covering letter, addressed to 'Dear Sir', about the claim of the Gurindji tribe being permitted to occupy their tribal lands in the Wave hill - Limbunya area of the Northern Territory. The attached letter addressed to the Federal Parliament is not present. The typewritten letter had a handwritten note to 'Ted' from 'F. H.'

Minutes of the meeting of the Trade Union Sub-Committee meeting of the Federal Council for Advancement of Aborigines and Torres Strait Islanders

Meeting notes include a report by the Convenor J. S. Baker on trade union action and the Aboriginal Advancement Movement; Roper River Strike and needs at Wattie Creek; the new A.C.T.U. Committee and the work of the State Committee of Unions Working on Aboriginal Problems; and union delegates attitude to questions of voting.

Trust fund should end now!

Flyer circulated by the Council for Aboriginal Affairs (Victoria) on behalf of the Federal Council for the Advancement of Aborigines and Torres Strait Islanders agreeing with the Country Party of Victoria that the Trust fund system in Queensland should end. Includes a resolution for 1971 that the Commonwealth Banking Corporation refuse to handle this fund. Second page has a list of people for campaigners to send their views to.

This memorandum to the United Nations from the Federal Council for the Advancement of Aborigines and Torres Strait Islanders was an invitation to the United Nations to visit Australia and participate in the examination of racism and racial discrimination in Australia. It was prepared by a sub-committee consisting of Faith Bandler, John S. Baker and Dr Barry Christophers.

This typed report from 1973 consists of a report from: the 16th Conference of the Federal Council for the Advancement of Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders of an extract from a speech by Mr R. Finney, Solicitor for Aborigines & Islanders from the Legal Aid Service; and the keynote address called 'Smash the act' given by Mrs P. Miller of the Council for Aboriginal Rights (Victoria).
