Invitation by the Royal Geographical Society of Australasia (Queensland) to attend a talk on Tuesday 29 September 1942 in the the University Lecture Hall, George Street at 8pm by Rev. Father Leo Hayes speak on "Bits of Queensland ..."; on reverse is written "Mrs. E.M. Hayes and friends".

Print from the Telegraph Feature Service, Brisbane of a black and white photograph with inscription on back "To my dear mother from her loving son Leo"; handwritten notes on reverse: "Father Leo Hayes receiving the Dr. J.P. Thomson Gold Medal and the Diploma (Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society) from Sir James Blair, Chancellor of Brisbane University, 22 Apr 1942." and "The man sitting down is Mr R. G. Gillies (President of the Royal Geographical Society. Standing behind Mr Gillies is Mr [illegible] O'Brien (Secretary of the R.G.S.)".

Banka Banka cattle station, 100 km north of Tennant Creek, was bought in 1940 by Mary and Philip (Ted) Ward. The file contains copies of photographs of life on Banka Banka station. Also some photographs of Mt Isa, Camooweal, and Howard Springs.

Seven letters to Ted Dunn responding to his request for information about Nutter Buzacott, or Buz. Correspondents are: Grahame King, Alan Marshall, Jim Wright, Murray Young, William Constable, and Noel Counihan. All letters were written in October 1979. One sheet of foolscap paper with photocopies of newspaper cuttings from the late 1930s and early 1940s about Nutter Buzacott. Two CDs of oral history interviews with his wife Winnie Buzacott. Catalogue from The Redcliffe Art Content Thirteenth Annual Exhibition, 20th August to 13th September 1969. Photocopy of the covers [designed by Buzacott?] of The big crush : what everyone should know about the CSR sugar monopoly and Who own Queensland by Pete Thomas.

Typescript of article "Pearl Gatherers of the Torrens [sic] Strait Islands" which is a short account by Jean Williams of the development of the Pearling Industry from 1863 in North Queensland. Includes list of vessels which were used in the period 1860-1870s, giving their description, type and Master's name. Accompanied by three sepia toned photographs of soliders, Torres Strait Islanders on Moa Island, and two Papua New Guinean women from the Omati River.

Two copies of the photocopied typescripts and handwritten pages that are drafts and / or notes that relate to the autobiography of Thomas Lowah titled Eded mer (My life), published by Rams Skull Press in 1988.

The first section of typescript leaves is titled 'The life of Thomas Lowah' and has has 76 leaves. The next section, a typescript photocopy is thirty six leaves in length with a handwritten note 'second time' on the first page. The third section is a copy of the preamble of the 'Constitution and Rules of the Torres Strait Islanders and Aborigines Ex-Servicemens Corporation', two leaves. The next section is a photocopy of thirteen handwritten leaves. The last section is a photocopy of five typescript pages with the first page having the heading 'Trip to Brisbane and South East Qld on TSLI Committee's Matters', with agenda and notes from meetings in February 1983.
