Also included is a letter from Paul H.L. Tardent dated Rockhampton, 27 May, 1947 to Inigo O. Jones regarding the Bernoulli family. The letter is accompanied by an extract from the Swiss National Biographies by Eugene Secretan entitled The Bernoulli Family.

Includes letters written by Harold Swain to Jules Tardent, and Jules and Myrle Tardent; typescript copies, made by Nancy Foote (daughter of Swain), of newspaper articles, correspondence, articles, and diary entries, by or relating to Swain are in this collection. Nancy Foote typed these from the originals in 1970 to 1971 and provided copies to 'Mr Tardent' (Jules Tardent). Jules Tardent and Swain worked in the forestry industry.
