Brief history of Purtell Park, Bardon written by Peter Hamilton. Peter Hamilton, a Bardon resident, with other locals, successfully petitioned the local MP Peter Matic to block a decision in favour of an extra clubhouse and liquor licence at Purtell Park in 2010. Purtell Park was the original home of Western Districts Rugby Legue Football Club, also known as Wests.
