Handmade book of 16 short fictional stories relating to Australians in the Boer War, bound in stiff paper wrappers. Handwritten title, copyright and contents page in black pen. 'Purely imaginary!' noted in pen at the bottom of the title page. Book constructed from cuttings of stories from The Leader published throughout 1899 and 1900, pasted on backing paper, with handwritten titles. Handwritten annotations and corrections throughout. Titles of the stories, listed in order presented on contents page: 'The kiss of battle'; 'Miss Simpson's hero'; 'The bull of the regiment'; 'The corporal's comrade'; 'Compatriots'; 'The scout'; 'John Jones, bushman'; 'St Patrick and another'; 'Them 'Straliens'; 'Commandeered'; 'A coward's courage'; 'A veldt idyll'; 'Worth threepence and a fortune'; 'A soldiers of the bush'; 'The temptation of Anthony'; and 'Bettje's mission'.

Follows the activities of a barrister, Wiseman Right, a resident of Ravensbourne, Queensland, as he defends a prisoner (among other accused parties) and represents a divorce plaintiff. Bound carbon copy typescript with gilt blind stamp title on front. Some annotations throughout.

In 1995 Pat Ryan arranged a reunion of the 1945 Physio gradates on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of graduation from the University of Queensland. She encourage others to continue the tradition of the reunions and to make a record of the occassion. This is collection of stores for the 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998 and 2000 reunions.

It includes: two articles by Patricia L. Ryan: "Memories of being a Physio student in World War Two" and " Reminiscences of Sister Kenny and her treatment of poliomyelitis"; and biographies, photocopies of photographs and newspaper cuttings, programmes, copies of the A.P.A. newsletter "On hand".

Slides feature images of University of Queensland Undergraduate Library (now the location of the Central Library) staff members and interior spaces, interspersed with text slides that describe the images, identify people in the images, or provide information on using the Library. One slide features an exterior shot of the Duhig Tower entrance to the Library. Some images of students making use of Library resources and services. Slides were used for The University of Queensland Library's Undergraduate Library orientation and information sessions in 1975 and 1976. In 1997 the Undergraduate, Multimedia and Central Libraries were amalgamated into a single Social Sciences and Humanities Library.
