Diary, 1940-1942

Personal diary kept between 1940 and 1942, from the time Gordon worked at Broken Hill South Ltd. to his war service in Australia and New Guinea from March 1941.
23 separately-paginated monthly sections and a long central section covering the start of Gordon's mobilisation. The 24 parts bound up in a plain black cloth binding. The volume begins with seventeen sections covering the months January to December 1940 (248pp.) and July to October 1941 (91pp.); followed by a 90-page section titled 'MOB' (i.e. mobilisation), covering the period 14 December 1941 to 30 June 1942; with a final six sections for the months July to December 1942 (93pp.)
