Project no. 712.07 Somerset College Stage 1
Part of Graeme Thiedeke Papers
Ink line drawings on paper. From the Title Block: The Davis Heather Group, architects and planners. Client: Steering Committee. Brief: Design and Documentation. A private secondary school was planned on donated land at Mudgeeraba, Gold Coast. Funding was not forthcoming and so the completed design and documentation of the project was abstained. The site was on a west sloping ridge and the site layout was influenced by Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, which in turn had been influenced by Monte Alban in Mexico. Despite funding at a later date, the Davis Heather Group were not involved in the project. Comprises: 1 volume of 16 leaves (including cover page) previously staped together (staples removed); 15 working drawings, sequentially numbered WD.01 to WD.15; written on cover page "Office copy"; each working drawing stamped "For tendering only".
