This file is comprised six items. There are three typescripts: 'My first ten years - some memories of party life' which is about participation in Communist Party activities in the 1940s (7 leaves, typescript, with handwritten emendations); 'Val', which is about Val Fraser (colleague in the Communist Party) (4 leaves, typescript, with handwritten emendations); and four typescript leaves recalling her early childhood years at Wynnum and Lindum with a handwritten note on the first page 'written a good few years back'. All are undated. There are two newspapers cuttings of Kath Watson in Somerville House Sports Teams from 1925 and 1927; and an 'Where is it book?' (Ancol notebook) listing women to include in the 1978 Woman and Labor papers, undated but possibly from 1978.

Typescript of article "Pearl Gatherers of the Torrens [sic] Strait Islands" which is a short account by Jean Williams of the development of the Pearling Industry from 1863 in North Queensland. Includes list of vessels which were used in the period 1860-1870s, giving their description, type and Master's name. Accompanied by three sepia toned photographs of soliders, Torres Strait Islanders on Moa Island, and two Papua New Guinean women from the Omati River.

Included with the poem and note in an envelope with the handwritten inscription "Enclosed in 1942 Australian Poetry (from Flexmore Hudson) and the Christmas Greetings from Rex Ingamells, and F.H. Jindyworobak 1943", with two small handwritten notes from Rex Ingamells and Flexmore Hudson, thanking Kath Watson for her contribution to poetry.
