Photocopy of correct typescript ‘Moffatt Memories’ compiled by Ruth V Leslie and read on the 11 Oct 1962 at Newstead House, Brisbane. Her granfather was Samuel Moffatt who lived at Cumkillenbah Homestead on the Darling Downs. There are some brief notes on the Aboriginal Australians who lived there. Family history for Thomas de Lacy Moffatt from the Darling Downs Pioneer Index; Thomas de lacy Moffatt married Mary Isabella MacDonald (nee Bell), widowed daughter of Thomas and Sarah Bell. Photocopies of death notices for Mary Isabella Moffatt (nee Bell) (1826-1866). Indenture dated 6 Oct 1893 re transfer of estate which included Thomas de Lacy Moffatt. Typescript copy of the handwritten notes of the 'Recollections of James Fernival' with handwritten note on first page ‘circ. 1908-9 in the possession of the late Hon. J.T. Bell’ , 6 leaves.

Fernival's recollections include: Henry Dennis, Thomas Bell, Jimbour Station, Ludwig Leichhardt, Joe King, Joshua Peter Bell, the various stations in the Darling Downs area and who owned them, Charles Coxen, Warraba ("W.H. Warraba", died in 1893), Bungaree, Billy Crow, George Goggs, and others.
