Academic Dress and Certificate of Award

Material consist of the academic dress worn by Father Edward Leo Hayes when he received an honorary Master of Arts in 1967. also included is the certificate of award and a copy of speech given by the Vice-Chancellor during the award ceremony.

Certificate of Bachelor of Arts

Original University of Queensland degree certificate awarded to Walde Gerard Fisher for a Bachelor of Arts with first class honours in the School of Classics, 10 May 1916. Fisher's name has been amended: the end of his first name, 'mar', has been scratched off, the 'h' in his middle name has been blacked out, and the 'c' has been covered in his surname.

Dr Andrew Theophaneous speaks on migration and multiculturalism Wednesday September 21st at 1pm.

Event flyer, printed on both sides of pink paper with black ink. It advertises an event organised by the Education Office, in which Dr Andrew Theophanous, Chairperson of the Australian Government's Immigration and Ethnic Affairs Committee, will speak about multiculturalism and immigration. The reverse of the flier contains more information on Dr Theophanous. The event will take place on Wednesday September 21st at 1pm, in the Abel Smith Lecture Theatre. A year is not given, but the recent release of the Fitzgerald Report is referenced.
