Photographic material

Material consists of personal photographs, slides, negatives and postcards. Mostly relating to Ray Sumner's research on Amalie Dietrich including photographs of specimen's collected by Dietrich. Contains two images of Aboriginal people (copies of originals).

Index cards

Consists of 450 index cards in three bundles. Two bundles contain zoological specimens and one a list of references used in Ray Sumner's thesis.

Publicity materials

Consists of promotional press releases, publicity for research seminars and lectures relating to Ray Sumner's research on Amalie Dieitrich and Australian natural history as well as newspaper cuttings, notes and images of aboriginal people (copies of originals) for an article on Aboriginal photographs. Material also includes the comic strip 'Amalie' which appeared in the Fur Dich magazine in 1978.

Personal Life of Amalie Dietrich

Contains material relating to Amalie Deitrich's personal life including the history of her birthplace, as well as a handwritten manuscript by Charitas Bischoff about her mother's life. Includes transcripts of original letters. Some photocopies.
