A personal history of an Aboriginal Australian tribe referred to as 'the Blucher tribe' located in the Darling Downs region. Includes an overview of their culture and customs. Two copies are typescripts bound by the Library. One is an original typescript with stiff paper wrappers and some handwritten annotations. One is a roneoed copy. The first of the two bound typescripts has an inscription on the title page near the hinge that reads '1.11.1934 345 1st copy typed in University Office'. The second of the two typescripts has an inscription on the title page near the hinge that reads '345 1.11.1934 duplic[ate] for FWR [Frederick Walter Robinson] 2/6'. The third original typescript copy in stiff paper wrappers, 41 leaves, has a bookplate pasted inside the front wrapper that states it 'belonged to Frederick Walter Robinson'. The fourth copy, 29 pages, looks to be a roneoed typescript that came from the Hayes collection.

Handwritten and typed anthropological field notes, reports, correspondence between Kelly and the Department of Anthropology at the University of Sydney, and draft papers relating to various aspects of Kelly’s field work in Queensland Aboriginal communities. Titles of some of the papers include 'Christianity and the native', 'Religion', 'Fight among the Kaingbul', and 'Notes on the retention of ritual and customs among missionised natives'. There is one untitled paper in which the first line reads 'This paper forms portion of a study of the impact of European culture upon the Aborigines of New South Wales'.

This draft carbon copy typescript recounts the story of Gaiarbau as told to Lindsay Winterbotham. In it Gaiarbau describes the form of tribal government, details of daily life, community, and relations with others outside of the community. This copy has many handwritten emendations written in blue pen; written in pencil at the top of most pages is 're-typed'. Handwritten emendations do not form part of the published version in Queensland Ethnohistory Transcripts 1:1 (1982). Illustrations consist of black and white photographs pasted onto light weight card and tipped/inserted in place.

Photocopy of draft of the paper The Aboriginal and his medicine chest written by FS Colliver, 20 pages, which includes two pages of bibliographic references that are referred to within the article. The article was published in 1972 in the Anthropological Society of Queensland Newsletter, no. 44, and Archaeology papers (3) 1-18. It includes quotes various authors on medicine mans powers & functions (Gippsland, Coast Murring), training (Murring, lower Lachlan River, Murray River, New England), remedies for sickness, Walbiri doctors & attitudes to them, circumcision as operation, post operative; treatment (Daly River), treatment of wounds, fractures (Gulf country, Port Keats), diseases listed with remedies given (taken mainly from Roth), use of pituri as stimulant, list of plants with scientific & popular names.
