History

Born on 15 June 1952 in London, Margot Hutcheson studied at St. Martins School of Art in London. She traveled to Australia in 1974. She lived in Yandina, Queensland in the 1970s and in Bellingen, New South Wales, in the 1980s. Hutcheson held her first exhibition of paintings in Australia at the Watters Gallery, Sydney, 1981. She has since held solo shows in Australia and Spain. Hutcheson moved to Toowong, Brisbane in 1986, in 1990 she left for Spain and in 1996 to London. She continues to travel and goes back to work in a small town in Buckingshamshire. Her works are represented in the National Gallery of Victoria and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Brisbane.
