History

W.J.H. Harris (Joe) was the author of "The Bitter Fight: a pictorial history of the Australian Labor Movement". In the preface he describes himself as a "militant socialist, an industrial worker with first-hand experience of strikes, stoppages and victimization". W.J.H. Harris, a carpenter, free-lance journalist and member of the Queensland branch of the Building Workers Industrial Union of Australia.
