Biographical history

May-Brit Akerholt was born in Norway, Oslo, and studied theatre and languages at Oslo University. She migrated to Australia in 1975, and completed an Honours and Masters at Macquarie University. She has translated and produced a number of plays, and lectured in Drama at NIDA.
