Biographical history

Renowned poet, playwright and actor born in 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon in England. Wrote prolifically during the Elizabethan and Jacobean ages of British theatre. Married Anne Hathaway and the couple had three children. Died in Stratford-upon-Avon on 23 April 1616 and was buried in the sanctuary of the parish church, Holy Trinity.
