Objectives - To organise the cessation of business as usual at the University in order to protest against the South African football tour, the declaration of a state of emergency, racism in Australia and the inadequate response of the University to racism. To make the University a centre for anti-tour activity.
Note: The strike was held from 22nd July to 5th August 1971.
