Objectives - To challenge imperialism and the structures of society. To fight for workers' power and a worker-student alliance. To fight for self-managed socialism.
Publicists - Esme Garner, Grahame Garner, Brian Laver, Janita Laver, Mitch Thompson, Dennis Stewart, Bobby Walker.
Notes: Until 1970 R.S.A. worked with the Revolutionary Socialist Students Alliance, the latter being based on the University of Queensland campus. They then split The Third World Liberation Front was associated with the Revolutionary Socialist Alliance. Some members of R.S.A. and R.S.S.A. went on to form the Revolutionary Socialist Party.

Biographical history

Grahame Garner was photographer of the Lisner Ballet and the Queensland Ballet in its early years. Garner ran as an Independent candidate in the 1985 Division 4, Maroochy Shire Council elections in Queensland. He was also a lifelong campaigner for peace and socialism and a talented photographer who documented street protests and May Day processions in Brisbane during the 1960s and 70s. In 1969 he organised and photographed Brisbane's last tram ride.
