Australian Telecommunications Employees Association Queensland Branch (1976- ). Formerly the Postal Telecommunication Technicians' Association (1943-1976) and the Australian Postal Electricians Union (1912-1943).
Objectives - To improve and protect the conditions of labour, the relations between employee and employer and between employee and employee; to promote the general and material welfare of members; to assist, by federation or otherwise, kindred organizations in upholding the rights and privileges of workers by industrial, political and municipal action; to establish journals and other publications; to accept the principles of arbitration and conciliation.
