Ceylon Committee (1972-197?).
Objectives - To publicise the state of repression in Ceylon and provide information about the repression to the Australian people; to call upon the Ceylon government to restore all democratic rights and to repeal all undemocratic legislation; to provide material assistance to all victims of repression.
Notes: The Committee arose because of the State of Emergency and the J.V.P. (People's Liberation Front) uprising in Ceylon (now known as Sri Lanka). Committees existed in other states.
