Name of creator
The Schonell Theatre is a cinema and theatre complex at the University of Queensland. It was constructed in 1970 and refurbished in 2005. For thirty years it hosted regular screenings of popular, alternative & foreign films. In 2006 the theatre was forced to cease regular cinema screenings, although live theatre performances continued. It is also home to the Cement Box Theatre located in the basement of the building. The Schonell Theatre has once again opened for limited screenings and events.
Name of creator
Cement Box Theatre at the University of Queensland, Underground Productions was the resident student-run theatre company at the University of Queensland. Located underneath the Schonell Theatre on the University of Queensland's St Lucia Campus, Brisbane. It was closed in 2006 due to the run down state of the building. In 2010 it reopened and was renamed the Geoffrey Rush Drama Studio.
